Borchard Lines’ 94%+ reliability in 2021 offering a consistent supply chain. Utilising own vessels and containers, working together with ports. The long term relationships with clients are highly appreciated by the Line.

In the period 1st January to 31st December 2021, Borchard Lines’ schedule reliability has remained at its high levels, averaging between 86-100% on time. The winter period has been marked by challenges.

In the period 1st January to 31st December 2021, Borchard Lines’ schedule reliability has remained at its high levels, averaging between 86%-100% on time, consistent over both quarters. This is in comparison to a global industry average of 35.8% (December 2021 figures). The weather has been particularly harsh this winter.

UK ports have endured delays, and on one service several ports have had to be omitted over a number of sailings. This is despite the vessel being presented on time each week. The omitted ports have been served directly through another of the services. Borchard Lines in the UK has been able to ensure timely door arrival of cargo through its own trucking service. This should be resolved from March 2022 onwards.

Smaller ships such as in the Line’s services, offering frequency, reliability and personal service do not offer economies of scale. They do provide clients together with valued partners such as ports and truckers a proper and consistent supply chain.
